Our mission
At NhakaBox, we are on a mission to unlock the treasures of Shona culture, one box at a time. We focus on preserving and sharing Shona cultural heritage with families living outside their home community.
We recognized a gap in available resources: while basic language instruction exists, there's limited material teaching the cultural context and values within which Shona is actually used. Understanding family relationships, proverbs, and traditions requires more than vocabulary lists.
NhakaBox was created to deliver practical tools and resources to make learning about and engaging with Shona culture an enjoyable and enriching experience for families all over the world.
